Media Release:

The Capital.com Australian Open continues to attract sponsorship from some of the world’s leading businesses, with Ares elevated to Major Partner status and global technology leaders AWS and Fortinet renewing their partnerships.

The three sponsors reinforce the Capital.com Australian Open’s position as an increasingly attractive platform for leading global brands, each bringing significant expertise and investment in global sports, including golf.

Ares, a leading global alternative investment manager, has enhanced its involvement with the Capital.com Australian Open, building on its partnership with the championship last year and its growing presence in Australian golf

Ares has a growing presence across global sport, providing flexible capital to a wide range of sports teams, leagues and ancillary businesses around sports, while also supporting leading athletes.

The elevation of Ares to Major Partner status comes alongside the renewal of partnerships with two global technology leaders, with AWS returning as the Official Cloud Computing Services Partner and Fortinet as the Official Cybersecurity Partner of the Capital.com Australian Open.

For AWS, the partnership will have a direct impact on the tournament experience, with AWS technology powering the inaugural Capital.comAustralian Open event app.

The app will give fans another way to engage with the championship and access tournament information, with AWS bringing its global expertise in cloud technology and sports to the championship.

AWS has an established relationship with professional golf internationally, including its long-standing work with the PGA Tour, where its cloud technology supports data, digital products and fan experiences.

Fortinet will continue its role as Official Cybersecurity Partner as part of its global involvement in golf.

Fortinet has been the Official Cybersecurity Partner of the DP World Tour since 2022 and recently renewed that partnership through 2028, helping protect player, fan and stakeholder data across the Tour’s digital ecosystem.

The one-year renewals for AWS and Fortinet ensure the Capital.com Australian Open continues to align with global businesses investing in technology, innovation and the growth of golf.

Golf Australia and PGA of Australia Chief Commercial Officer Ben Sellenger said the continued support from Ares, AWS and Fortinet was a healthy endorsement of the direction of the Capital.com Australian Open.

“The calibre and number of businesses that want to be part of the Capital.comAustralian Open continues to grow, and these three partnerships are a great example of that,” Sellenger said.

“We are delighted to welcome back Ares, AWS and Fortinet. All are global leaders in their respective fields and have a significant presence in international sports, including golf.

“With AWS helping us deliver our inaugural tournament app and Fortinet bringing its global cybersecurity expertise to the championship, these partnerships also demonstrate how our commercial partners can play a genuine role in enhancing the tournament experience.

“The Capital.com Australian Open is becoming an increasingly attractive platform for global brands, and we are proud to have Ares, AWS and Fortinet continuing to sponsor the championship.”

The renewed partnerships come as anticipation builds for the 2026 Capital.comAustralian Open, which will be played at Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne from December 3-6, with back-to-back Masters champion Rory McIlroy among the headline players.

The Capital.com Australian Open is co-sanctioned by the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and DP World Tour.
